Shisa Guest Farm is a "men only" B&B / country retreat in the Western Cape Winelands - 80 minutes from Cape Town in South Africa.

Oh - and for those of you who do not know: "Shisa" is a Zulu stem word meaning "HOT" and is also a Hlonipha (Zulu term of respect) for the sun....so COME ON SUMMER, COME ON!!!

The Farm-style venue is situated on 30ha of private land surrounded by mountains which are often snow-capped in winter.

The hot dry summers make the pool and river very popular and inspired the name 'Shisa'.

The nearby village of Tulbagh is famous for its high concentration of national monuments and the valley for its award-winning farms, complemented by estates producing olives, cheese and fruit.

Shisa is also a perfect base for exploring nearby wine and fruit producing areas such as Ceres and the Breederiver Valley.

For those that want to experience a bit of solitude, the expanse of the Ceres-Karoo is only an hour away.

Apart from various local outings and tourist attractions close by Shisa Guest Farm, the farm itself also offers various relaxation facilities. You can spend a lazy afternoon with a picnic basket at the river or in the forest. Or you can unwind and de-tox in the steam room, laze at the pool or just relax in front of the log fire (in winter).
Or... You can just take in the views while lounging around the spectacular pool.
