PrideTV, Africa’s only LGBTQ video-on-demand (VOD) channel, has boosted its viewing experience by recharging its Freemium section with another one hundred plus titles.
PrideTV Freemium is a second tier of streaming video content catering for the channel’s growing audience of tens of thousands that was launched earlier this year.
It offers a no subscription, no commitment promise that complements the one-year old VOD channel’s subscription-based service.
Dozens of new LGBTQ movies like ‘Home(less)’, ‘Golden‘, ‘Dare’ and ‘Love in South Africa’ are available for direct streaming, as are brand new Series such as First Person, the Boulet Brothers and Out With Dad.
“There are two viewing tiers on the site,” explains Joanne Raphael Katz, PrideTV spokesperson. “In Freemium, we have gathered the best of the web to offer the community more, free of charge. In Premium, an affordable R79 per month buys unlimited access to enjoy titles anytime and on any device.”
Prepaid and credit card payment options mean that PrideTV can be cancelled at any time enabling consumers to budget better due to no contract lock-in
In addition, PrideTV viewers receive better value for money because their viewing time is not diluted by commercials and viewers avoid the endless repetitions that are become a feature of satellite Pay TV viewing.
“VOD signals the end of the ‘one size fits all‘ approach to TV viewing by enabling content cherrypicking and we’re thrilled to have added plenty more Freemium cherries,” concluded Raphael Katz.
