  • The original Comedy Queen Lilly Slaptsilli, the one half of legendary drag duo Mince is back with I’m Gagging – fulfilling her life-long dream of doing stand-up. Yes Lilly is making her second debut serving up an hour of ass slapping comedy banter where anything can happen. Expect jokes about Goat Yoga, Uber Drivers and Hungry Bottoms.   • And now for something completely different: OMG Quiz Night crash lands their trivia machine right into the belly of Alexander Bar every Wednesday night where the bar get turned into your throne from which you will enter into a battle of the minds. Among the ‘what is the capital of…’ this quiz has a plethora of hands-on, get-your-taste buds-guessing, blind-fold-necessary questions. This is not just any games night. Minimum of 1 person per team (note: your name will automatically be entered as Han Solo) up to 6 players in a team. The game starts at 7:30pm sharp and finishes at 9:30pm. Starring some of Cape Town’s best known Drag Performers, including Manila von Teez and Vida Fantabisher, each week brings a different Drag Cabaret production to the stage!   • The popular Pink Panther Club is hosting a Beach Party on New Year’s Eve. Dress: Beach Wear. R100 admission. Corner of Strand and Rose Streets, de Waterkant
  • Life’s a beach, and Cape Town has over 50 beaches to choose from. Clifton 3rd Beach is the unofficial gay beach and a Posers’ Paradise. So don’t make the mistake of wearing last year’s Speedo….it will be noted! Sandy Bay is Cape Town’s unofficial nudist beach so nobody cares if you’re wearing a Speedo or not. GayCities has rated Sandy Bay as number eight in its list of “The 10 Best Nude Gay Beaches in the World”. It’s a good 20 minute walk from the car park until you reach the glorious beach. You need to bring all your own refreshments with you as here are no vendors at the beach. Make sure to take your litter with you when you leave.
  • Buddies Night Out. Saturday 29th December, Station at Bree, 207 Bree St. No cover charge but come early to secure a spot, and bring a Buddy or three! Pay it Forward and invite all the friends you would love to see, those you’re not talking to, those who have unfriended you, those that are in town for season, those you have a secret crush on or just those you just wanna bang in the future or even those you have banged in the past…but still want to see! This is Season Seven of this popular annual pop-up party. Expect a fun time with good music and hot barmen in a no bad attitude environment.
