We need your help with the Civil Union Act

There have been developments regarding the amendment of section 6 The Civil Union Act that ensures that same-sex couples are no longer discriminated against by Home Affairs officials in South Africa.

The Bill has been deemed desirable by The Home Affairs Committee at Parliament and there has been a call for the second round of comments as well as a call to indicate whether you would like to make oral submissions to parliament.

This amendment could possibly be a first step in relooking the Civil Union Act and the Marriage Act.
